The short answer
Check publication at the host, the episode in the public feed and the show’s Published status in Podcasts Connect. Then follow Apple’s refresh procedure.
Start at the source
Apple says changes often appear within a few hours. Its troubleshooting starts with saved, published host changes and show status. Refreshing a directory cannot publish a draft left in your host.
Write down the episode title and publication time, including time zone. Compare the host screen with the public feed. If the host says published but the feed lacks the episode, record that discrepancy for the host.
Find the first missing step
Keep a three-line log: host publication checked; public feed checked; directory status checked. Mark where the episode first disappears. Avoid changing several settings before locating that point.
When changes and status are correct, Apple directs publishers to Refresh Feed in Podcasts Connect, then to support if processing still fails. Follow the current linked instructions because controls can change.
Describe the exact symptom
Include the public feed URL, title, publication time, show status and visible error. “Not listed” and “listed but playback fails” are different observations.
This guide covers a public RSS show in Apple’s catalog. Private feeds, subscriber-only episodes and other services may follow different routes. Do not create a duplicate show to test a refresh. Preserve the existing record while the original issue is investigated.
